The Readout section provides a structured summary of the assessment, consolidating key details such as project narratives and security findings. This section is designed to offer a clear and organized report that helps stakeholders quickly review critical information.

Structure of the Readout

First Page: Project Overview

The first page of the Readout contains essential project details, including:

  • Client Name – The name of the client for whom the assessment is being conducted.
  • Project Name – The title of the security engagement.
  • Narratives – A summary of the narratives that have been assigned to this project, providing contextual information about the scope and objectives of the assessment.

This page serves as an introduction, ensuring that all stakeholders have a clear understanding of the project before reviewing the findings.

Subsequent Pages: Security Findings

After the initial overview, the following pages detail the security findings identified by the pentesters. Each finding includes:

  • Finding Title – A concise name for the discovered vulnerability or issue.
  • Vector – The method or pathway through which the vulnerability was identified.
  • Score – The severity rating of the finding (e.g., Critical, High, Medium, Low, Informational).
  • Description – A detailed explanation of the issue, including any relevant URLs or affected assets.

This structured layout ensures that the report remains clear and actionable, enabling teams to address vulnerabilities efficiently.

Exporting the Readout as a PDF

Readout Section

Users can export the Readout as a PDF report for easy sharing and documentation. The export feature allows users to choose between:

  • Auto Page Size – Automatically adjusts the page layout to fit the content dynamically.
  • A4 Page Size – Formats the report specifically for A4-sized pages, ensuring a standardized printable layout.

To export the Readout, click the "Export" button at the top right and select the preferred PDF format. This feature helps teams generate professional reports that can be shared with clients or internal teams.

Users can also export the report as a DOCX file using the other export option located at the top right. This format allows further modifications before finalizing the report.

Important: Client Portal Visibility

  • The Readout report will appear in the Client Portal once the project status is marked as Finished.
  • Clients will be able to view all findings in the report, but only those findings with the status Open will be visible.
  • Ensure that all sensitive information is properly reviewed before marking the project as finished, as clients will have direct access to the findings.

By following this format, the Readout provides a comprehensive and easily navigable summary of the assessment, facilitating better decision-making and remediation planning.
